Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced midlevel associate to join their Corporate M&A team in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of Corporate M&A experience, with a preference for private equity transaction experience. Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate merger agreements, stock purchase agreements, and related documents. Manage and close M&A and related transactions. Conduct legal due diligence. Advise clients on general corporate and business matters. Work with partnership agreements, joint ventures, and LLC operating agreements. Handle representation and warranty insurance underwriting issues. Qualifications Three to five years of Corporate M&A experience. Private equity transaction experience preferred. Strong academic credentials. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in legal research and writing.
