Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in Barrington, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized neonatal care in a Level 2 Trauma Center with a Level 2E NICU designation. The role requires participation in baby stabilization, neonatal transport, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: Barrington, IL 60010
• Schedule: Rotating shifts; 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), 2 years of neonatal intensive care experience preferred, located in Illinois, minimum 1-year experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Other Responsibilities & Support:
  • Charge Nurse may take patient assignments
  • Receptionist coverage 24/7 on Maternity & Baby Unit (MBU)
  • Neonatologists' rounds conducted daily
  • On-call obstetric services 24/7
  • Phlebotomy assistance for peripheral blood draws
• Charting System/Equipment: EPIC EHR system, Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxi medication dispensing system, Bridge access for donor milk and breast milk administration
• Orientation: At least one shift on unit to learn flow
• Additional Information:
  • Charge Nurse may take patient assignment
  • Scrub color hospital provided
