Estimating Engineer

Location: Hampshire; Salary: Up to £50,000 What You'll Be Doing Produce quotations for complex precision‑machined components. Review engineering drawings and determine the most efficient manufacturing route. Estimate machining cycle times, tooling and production costs. Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams. Support new product introduction from RFQ through to production. Help secure profitable new business for a world‑class precision engineering manufacturer. What We're Looking For The most important thing is your CNC machining knowledge . You should ideally have experience as a: CNC Turner CNC Programmer CNC Setter/Operator Manufacturing Engineer Production Engineer You should also have: A strong understanding of CNC machining processes. The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, machining strategies and cycle times. Experience machining a range of materials. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn. Estimating experience is welcome but not essential if you have the right machining background and are keen to develop into the role.
