Sonographer Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

40-hour shift work with call as appropriate. Must float to other units as needed.

Job Description

The Sonographer will be responsible for performing a range of ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, gynecological, obstetric, neonatal, and vascular assessments. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both normal and pathological imaging and demonstrate competence in performing aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform abdominal ultrasounds (Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, Renal)
• Conduct gynecological ultrasounds (breast, ovaries, uterus, pelvis)
• Carry out obstetric ultrasounds during all trimesters, including amniocentesis and biophysical profiles
• Assess congenital anomalies and neonatal head conditions
• Utilize Canon i700 equipment along with Meditech EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-time sonographer in an acute hospital setting
• ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB, and RVT
• Active BLS certification, must be AHA certified
