Mainstay was founded in 1975 to provide services to people with mental illness, and our mandate has since expanded to cover a variety of vulnerable populations, including low-income elders; people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; and the recently homeless.A Day in the Life of a Home Health Aide:Each shift brings a new opportunity to positively impact someone’s life. On shift you may help a client with dressing, grooming, and medication reminders. You also might prepare a meal together, provide companionship, and assist with light housekeeping.
