Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)

An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer for the 10MW Generation Plant with Microgrid Controls project at Fort Stewart, Georgia. As a Site Safety and Health Officer, you will be responsible for the implementation and administration of the accident prevention program to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees on the project. Requirements: Five (5) or more years of cumulative construction safety experience, within the last ten (10) years, managing or implementing a Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) program on projects similar in type, size, and complexity; or three (3) or more years of such experience, within the last ten (10) years, when combined with a safety-related degree or a third-party, nationally accredited Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) certification or designation that requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience to obtain. Working knowledge of EM-385-1-1; Completion of the 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety course within the last five (5) years; and Twenty-four (24) hours of formal safety training as follows: confined space, scaffolding, cranes and rigging, excavation/trenching, fall protection, and electrical within the last five (5) years.
