Job Summary: SAP is a leading company that helps the world run better by leveraging innovative technologies across various industries. They are searching for an experienced AI/ML Applied Scientist to join their ABAP Foundation Model team, focusing on the development and integration of foundation models to enhance cloud transformation efforts. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and leading research initiatives to drive advancements in AI applications. Responsibilities:

• Model Development: Oversee the development, fine-tuning, and integration of foundation models into SAP solutions to streamline cloud transformation journeys.
• Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders in different teams at SAP as well as early adopter customers and research collaborations.
• Define processes, methods, hypothesis, experiments and review results from the ground up with an understanding to put them together for End-to-End Foundational Models and LLMs.

Qualifications: Required:

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science, with a proven record of leading projects to success.
• Expertise in deep learning, large language models, and significant experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Tensorflow.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams and drive strategic initiatives.
