Software Engineer, Front End Developer (Experienced or Senior) Company: The Boeing Company Location: Albuquerque, NM Position Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and analysis of user interfaces of software systems. Partner with stakeholders to oversee translation of software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements. Lead completion of software system‑level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities. Lead software engineers to successfully complete code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards. Lead review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards. Research and oversee implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks. Basic Qualifications Active Top Secret (TS) U.S. Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility post‑start. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Foundational Computer Science knowledge and object‑oriented design and software patterns. Experience developing Frontend user interfaces using Astro UX. 3+ years of experience with Front End software languages, frameworks, and libraries (e.g., HTML5, JavaScript, React, API integration). Preferred Qualifications 5+ years related work experience or equivalent education and experience. Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. Experience with software engineering principles such as Software Configuration Management, Software Architecture and Design, and Software Life Cycle Management. Experience with Java, C++, Python, JS frameworks (React, jQuery UI, Open Layers), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, REST, and OpenAPI. Experience using dependency management and automation services (e.g., Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins). Experience using cloud‑based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure). Familiarity with TDD, Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD management. Experience with front end software for control systems, embedded FPGA, low‑latency deterministic systems, operator interfaces, control gimbals, ground antennas, or optical sensors. Security and Clearance Position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance. A clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active.
