Job Overview
We are seeking experienced PACU Registered Nurses (RN) with a strong ICU background to join a high-acuity post-anesthesia care unit. This role involves caring for complex patients, including ICU-level boarders awaiting inpatient beds.
Unit Details
- Unit: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
- Care Setting: Acute Care
- Charting System: EPIC
- Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia
- Perform rapid assessments and respond to acute changes
- Manage airway, hemodynamics, and post-op complications
- Collaborate closely with anesthesia and surgical teams
- Care for high-acuity patients, including ICU boarders
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Active RN License (required at submission)
- BLS Certification (AHA required)
- Flu Vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Prior PACU experience strongly preferred
- Strong ICU background required
