RN Supervisor

Associated services include coordinating with the in-house pharmacy, contracted primary care, external medical partners, and ongoing integration of medical services across programs and service lines. As a CHMHA employee, you will have access to a range of unique benefits, such as company-paid medical/dental/vision/disability insurance, a 403B retirement plan with employer match, continuing education credit, a personal unlimited Orca Card, and an employee assistance program with financial, mental, and legal assistance.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide oversight, training, supervision, and ongoing reviews for assigned medical staffFunction as main point of contact with in-house pharmacy, contracted primary care, external lab partner, and other significant partnersMonitor billable and non-billable activity and assist in maintaining enrollment and appropriate service delivery levels per program type and individual client needsDelegate, supervise, and review/sign-off on Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) dutiesPractice good financial stewardship of agency and contract resources, including how time is being spent, supplies are used, property is being maintained, etc.Monitor spending of Petty Cash and other agency money to ensure accountability and appropriate useMeet identified key performance indicators and metrics for the position as identified for the program, division, and agencyEnsure medications are supplied, administered, monitored, and documented appropriately for all clients and residents through trained staff ensuring the seven rights of medication use are followed: right person, right medication, right time, right dose, right route, right reason (including refusal), and right documentation according to agency provided medication trainingProvide regular supervision, direction, and documentation for assigned staff, including individual meetings, group staff meetings, chart reviews, training requirements, performance issues, etc.Conduct interviews and hire staff in coordination with HR for open positionsCoordinate with Human Resources to ensure complete personnel files are maintained per agency, Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and contract requirementsFormalize and maintain training materials for specific programs and requirements, including finding efficiencies in current processes related to lab orders, audits, use of electronic medical record, and account creation across platformsProvide Electronic Health Record (EHR) training to new medical team membersMaintain productive working relationships with internal department leads to always ensure efficient and seamless coordination of client care and business needsProvide immediate crisis intervention and resolution as neededAlways maintain client and staff confidentialityThe Medical Services Supervisor works with assigned medical staff to ensure high standards of care are provided, including but not limited to:Providing or coordinating referrals to basic physical evaluation of clients, such as blood glucose monitoring, blood pressure readings, and other basic health screenings, referring as appropriate or indicated to outside clinics or specialistsOverseeing and coordinating medication orders, supplies, refills, injections, administration records, chart reviews, and associated blood draws and lab monitoringProviding and assisting in coordinating medical discharge supplies and documents for clients leaving agency servicesWorking with care team to coordinate medical services for hospital discharge for clients released back to the agencyParticipating in team and care coordination meetingsProviding input as part of resident’s care team on service plan and progress, and collaborating with other providers such as primary care provider, case manager, etc.Maintaining and documenting in client charts and other external systems, etc. following agency, county, state, and federal guidelinesAssisting in admission and discharge planning, as appropriatePerforming other duties as assignedBASIC QUALIFICATIONSCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) certification in good standingThree or more years of experience in behavioral health servicesExperience with medication orders and administrationSuccessfully pass criminal background check before hire dateObtain and maintain valid First Aid/CPR card or certificate within 30 days of hireHold a valid license for 1 year with clean driving record to use agency vehiclesHave legible handwriting and ability to do simple mathematicsAble to navigate and comprehend charts in electronic medical recordAble to work independently and within a teamAble to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
