CoreValve Therapy Development Specialist – Position Description Responsibilities Provide technical and clinical support to TAVR implanting centers, including scrubbing in for TAVI implant procedures, loading valves onto delivery catheter, and providing technical support per instructions for use, trial protocol, and best practices. Provide educational support for site performance and safe growth: assist with education and training activities with physicians, hospital support staff, and Medtronic personnel; communicate clinical data regarding Medtronic products and TAVR therapy. Provide sales support: collaborate with territory sales representative and CVG field organization to achieve sales targets and implement business plans. Assist with customer management: inventory ordering, shelf stock, returns; develop strong relationships with key decision makers and internal/external stakeholders. Participate in customer/society education meetings and conventions; respond to customer requests and resolve complaints promptly. Report device complaints to appropriate departments within quality assurance. Maintain high standards of personal presentation and professional image. Assist in training new hires to Medtronic CBT team. Submit accurate and timely expense reports; schedule travel arrangements. Maintain hospital eligibility and vendor credentialing. Maintain strong communication with CVG sales and leadership; communicate market intelligence, competitor activity, and product pricing. Ensure professional written and verbal communication at all times. Qualifications High School Degree and 8 years of experience in a clinical or sales healthcare environment; selling or supporting interventional cardiology, vascular or surgical products; or Associate Degree and 6 years; or Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Experience with imaging modalities (TTE, TEE, CT, angiograms) and interpretation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate programs in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to make timely decisions. Strong customer service skills and ability to build and sustain relationships. Experience teaching and educating medical personnel. Clinical or sales experience with interventional cardiology, vascular or surgical products. Preferred: Echocardiology background; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, nursing, or sciences. Desired: Experience with wires, balloons, catheters, stents; ability to manage multiple accounts. Physical Job Requirements Move independently and interact with a computer. Lift up to 20 pounds; wear lead apron 2‑3 hours on average. Travel extensively by car and plane; valid driver’s license required. Operate vehicle and work in cath labs with radiation exposure. Travel with overnight stays 50‑75% of time; work outside typical Monday‑Friday schedule. Use computer and CT reconstruction programs. Environmental Exposures Infectious disease, radiation, blood‑borne pathogens; must wear required personal protective equipment. Benefits & Compensation Salary range for U.S. locations: $128,000.00 – $140,000.00 (USD). Eligible for Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) and other incentive compensation.
