Accounting Manager

Accounting ManagerSun Tran is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial management systems and supervise the accounting team. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, manages personnel, analyzes accounts and completes special projects. This position is located at our Northwest Administrative Office at 3910 North Sun Tran Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85705.Essential FunctionsSupervise accounting staff: review work, provide training, maintain checks and balances, conduct evaluations.Manage financial systems: prepare journal entries, balance accounts, assist with budget reporting, and maintain schedules.Prepare and distribute monthly operational and financial reports.Analyze problem accounts and expenditures, researching issues, and presenting solutions.Support special projects including year-end reports, budget analysis, and intergovernmental agreement billing.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3-5 years of accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.Preferred QualificationsPublic-sector or government accounting experience.Advanced knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting systemsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.BenefitsComprehensive benefits package including health insurance for employees and dependents, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and a generous retirement plan.If selected for any positions, the company requires a background investigation and a pre-employment drug screen.
