We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations for a long-term contract opportunity based in Clinton, Indiana. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable working on-site and can manage payroll activities accurately for a mid-sized employee population. The position will work closely with payroll leadership to help ensure timely, compliant, and organized payroll processing.

Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for employees within a workforce of approximately 101 to 500 staff members.
• Handle full-cycle payroll tasks from data review and entry through final verification and distribution.
• Review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, and adjustments to help maintain precise payroll records.
• Administer wage garnishments and other payroll withholdings in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Work closely with the payroll manager to resolve discrepancies, answer payroll-related questions, and support daily operations.
• Maintain payroll documentation and employee records with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
• Assist with payroll updates, corrections, and related administrative activities as needed.
• Support payroll-related process changes or internal transitions when applicable as part of ongoing operational needs.• Prior experience in payroll processing is required.
• Hands-on knowledge of full-cycle payroll practices.
• Experience managing payroll for an employee population ranging from 101 to 500 workers.
• Familiarity with payroll garnishments and required deductions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with sensitive data.
• Ability to work on-site for a permanent schedule of 40 hours per week.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet recurring payroll deadlines.
