Our client is currently seeking a Travel RN Operating Room
Job Details:Location: Slidell, LA 70458
Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: 5x8s Days shift
Weekly Pay: $2,463/week Job responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients before surgery, check medical history, verify NPO (nothing by mouth) status, and confirm surgical consent.
- Stock the OR suite, gather sterile surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, and verify that all machinery functions properly.
- Manage the overall room workflow, monitor vital signs, assist anesthesia providers during intubation, and maintain strict sterile safety boundaries.
- Collect, properly label, and document any tissue or lab specimens taken during the operation.
- At least 2 years of RN Operating Room experience required.
- Experience working with and maintaining confidential information.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's of science in nursing.
- Active RN LA state license or compact state license required.
- BLS, ACLS (AHA) required.
