Business Analyst III

Job Description Insight Global is Seeking a qualified Business Analyst III to join the team at a large utilities company here in Houston, Texas. The Business Analyst III will support a large-scale Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) transformation program by leveraging operational, installation, and smart meter data to drive forecasting, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. This role is responsible for analyzing work order and field activity data to identify material consumption trends, develop quarterly and annual demand forecasts, and provide visibility into inventory readiness and deployment risk. The analyst will create and maintain forecasting models, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that support inventory planning, operational performance, and deployment execution while partnering closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Field Services, and Program Leadership. Responsibilities include collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to meter installations, repairs, maintenance activities, and workforce productivity to identify trends, performance gaps, process improvement opportunities, and operational efficiencies. As the AMI program evolves, this individual will also support advanced analytics initiatives by monitoring and interpreting smart meter telemetry, including pressure, temperature, leak detection, and other operational data, to identify anomalies, assess asset health, and determine root causes of issues across network communications, system integrations, and physical meter infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be skilled at translating complex data into actionable insights, developing data-driven recommendations for leadership, and contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting standards, analytics capabilities, and operational decision-making across the organization. • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, operational analytics, forecasting, reporting, or related disciplines.
• Experience working with large datasets, work order management systems, and operational reporting environments.
• Proficiency with SAP, Power BI, SQL, Google BigQuery, Excel, and other data visualization and analytics tools.
• Understanding of forecasting methodologies, KPI development, and process improvement principles.
