Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), every other weekend required, floating to similar units as needed based on skill set

Highlights:

• 30-bed unit with daily census of 15-20 patients and 1:6 patient ratio experience
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC (minimum 1 year experience required)
• Medication dispensing system: Omnicell
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Patient population: Adults and geriatric patients
• Two instances of pre-approved time off available per contract

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee RN license or multistate compact license
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical or Telemetry experience in specialty
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required

Skills and Competencies:

• Blood product administration, central line blood draws, and peripheral line care/management
• IV insertion and maintenance, PICC line management, and accessing/managing ports
• Colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, and bariatric surgery support
• Telemetry monitoring and medical/surgical patient care
• Experience with total joint replacement, ortho trauma, bowel obstruction, and short stay units
• Peripheral nerve block catheter management
