VP of Software Development

We're looking for an accomplished VP, Software Development to lead a globally distributed engineering team of 300+ engineers within a consumer technology leader operating a portfolio of well-known financial and digital services brands.

• Leaders are expected to challenge assumptions and drive clarity (without being hands-on coders)

• Own and scale customer-facing applications across web and mobile platforms
• Lead integration of newly acquired products into the broader platform ecosystem
• Drive growth initiatives across multiple product lines, including fintech offerings
• Champion AI adoption across engineering teams and product experiences
• Oversee deployment of AI-powered features already in production
• Identify and unlock productivity gains through AI and automation
• Explore new revenue and product opportunities leveraging LLMs and emerging technologies
• Operate as a highly visible leader, partnering closely with C-suite to drive transformation

• Strong experience in FinTech, Financial Wellness or Consumer Facing Apps & Platforms (on a global scale)
• A background in building and scaling large-scale, real-time, customer-facing (B2C) systems
• Comfortable working across modern tech stacks (e.g., Java, React, Scala or similar)
• Experience with platform evolution or tech stack migrations (a plus)
• Experience as a technically credible leader able to challenge decisions and guide engineering direction in a globally distributed team
• A passion for driving impact and leading change in complex organisations
• Confidence operating in a highly visible, executive-facing role.
