Customer Service RepresentativeLocation: Whitehouse Station, NJ Duration: 6 Months CTH JOB DESCRIPTION The CSR supports the business goals of the NonMasterpiece and Manual team, providing service support for Client appointed agencies and internal Client partners. Policy changes are received via email requests. The team handles policies that are not system supported policies, which include renewals, quotes, new lines, and endorsements.Competencies:Work collaboratively with team members and business partners to provide quality experience for our agentsAbility to work between the hours of 8am-5pm EST; in officeComplete additional tasks and other projects/duties as assignedAbility to learn the basic concepts of personal lines insurance principles and Client products (home, auto, valuable articles/collectibles, flood, etc.)Assume ownership and timeliness in handling agent requests in an efficient, accurate and professional mannerProcesses and triage a diverse amount of email requestsPerform various job functions or projects as assigned by team specialist or supervisor.Possess a strong math aptitudeDemonstrate strong problem solving, Critical thinking.Accountability, detailed, and quality focused.Aptitude to analyze complex business and workflow issuesExcellent written communication skillsFlexibility to prioritize assigned work to adhere to department service level expectationsExcellent time management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, balance multiple priorities and work independently.All the work is processed manually: from creating folders, to rating the policy on excel sheets, to creating pdf filesEntry level Insurance jobOpportunity to show skill sets for other possible opportunities with ClientTeam Size: 4 people currentlyRequired Skills:Knowledge of Microsoft Suite a plus (including Word-template use, Excel-data entry, PowerPoint-be able to view, no creation) a mustKnowledge of Adobe (taking Excel and Word docs and creating pdf's, transfer docs and save) a mustProficient in computer skills (turn on and off, be able to create folders, open up files and rename if needed), multi-application navigation and multi-taskingProfessionalism, accountability and taking personal pride in the handling of new business quotes, policy change requests and inquiries from our valued agency partnersPersonal Lines General Insurance Knowledge a plus, but not requiredWhy does this need exist? – Business Group & Key ProjectsHandles transaction requests on specific lines of business & Risk States for policies that are not system supportedNo key projectsBackfill to resources allocated to projectsNot an urgent needTypical Day in the Role:+/- 1 hour per taskHandles transactions requests from our Agents and issuing Renewal paperwork – not system supportedIndependent work, once trainedPossibility of Temp to PermTop 3 "Must-Have Skills":Knowledge of Microsoft Suite a plus (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Knowledge of Adobe and creating pdf'sProficient in Computer skills & written communication skillsTop 3 "Nice to Have" Skills:Personal Lines Insurance Knowledge a plus, but not requiredPossess a strong math aptitudeMultitask between assignments
