Account Manager (Schaumburg)

Our client a Japanese industrial materials manufacturer is seeking an Account Manager for their Schaumburg office.

Salary: Depending on Experience of candidate between 55-85k

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through responsive and professional service.
• Achieve or surpass assigned sales goals and performance objectives.
• Prepare and provide accurate, timely pricing and quotations based on customer requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support efficient order processing, delivery, and customer transactions.
• Keep customer information, sales activities, and communication records current in internal systems.
• Provide regular updates to management regarding sales performance, customer needs, and market opportunities.
• Expand business opportunities by developing and maintaining a network of contacts and potential leads.
• Track customer payment status and work with the finance team to support timely collections.

Requirements:

• Background in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
• College degree is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Confident in customer discussions and commercial negotiations.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and business software.
• Self-motivated and effective in a multicultural work environment.
• Familiarity with Japanese business practices is preferred.
• Japanese proficiency is a plus.
