Our organization is looking to expand its Department of Ophthalmology by welcoming a full-time Glaucoma Specialist to our vibrant ophthalmology team as a non-tenure Clinical Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will deliver expert medical and surgical care for glaucoma while also engaging in comprehensive ophthalmic services. This role provides a unique chance to thrive in a collaborative, patient-focused setting equipped with cutting-edge technology and a diverse patient demographic. Key duties include ensuring high-quality patient care, participating in educational initiatives, and, if desired, engaging in clinical research that enhances our academic eye practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of glaucoma conditions.

• Conduct glaucoma surgeries, including MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery), trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and various laser procedures (such as SLT and YAG).

• Provide both routine and advanced anterior segment care, including cataract surgery when appropriate.

• Work collaboratively with optometrists and other ophthalmic specialists to ensure integrated patient care.

• Keep precise, timely, and comprehensive medical records.

• Inform patients and their families about glaucoma, treatment alternatives, and preventive measures.

• Engage in the education of ophthalmology residents and medical students.

• Participate in clinical research as desired.

Expected Salary:

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes an excellent benefits package.

Required Qualifications:

• M.D. (or equivalent) or D.O. degree from an accredited medical institution.

• Completion of an ophthalmology residency.

• Fellowship training in Glaucoma.

• US Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.

• Eligibility for medical licensure in Florida.
