Chemist I

Our client, a leader in the healthcare and biotechnology industry, is seeking a Chemist I to join their team. As a Chemist I, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting the Infectious Disease business unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Chemist I Location: Scarborough, ME What's the Job? Maintain and support the production schedule to ensure timely manufacturing processes Investigate problem areas and identify opportunities for process improvements Undertake new procedures while observing proper safety precautions Perform in-process QC testing related to qualifications, quality inspections, and titrations Maintain quality systems and ensure compliance with GMP/GLP standards What's Needed? Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with pipetting, spectrophotometry, HPLC, pH meters, gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, and ELISA assays Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with moderate supervision Proficiency in computer applications including spreadsheets, databases, manufacturing, and word processing software Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail What's in it for me?
