This position will be in Huntsville, AL.Role and Responsibilities:As a Program Manager , you will support the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Ground Support System (GSS) Hardware team's efforts working within an diverse environment.Tracking and reporting cost and schedule performance (CAM duties) of a multi-disciplined systems engineering, integration, design, test, and production teamInterface with multi-disciplinary technical teams understanding their roadmaps, budgets, technical challenges, risks, dependencies, and GFXOversee proposal development, program planning, and execution through the Phases of the GWS ProgramCoordinate with cross-division IPTs to ensure appropriate schedule integrationEnsure contract compliance and execution of SSOW requirements including timely SDRL submittals for external suppliersRepresent Northrop Grumman (NG) as a company, conveying our message to the customer; and integrating knowledge of the spectrum of NG capabilities with understanding of customer needs to promote our company and capabilitiesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Systems Engineering and 5 years of related professional experience; OR Master’s degree and 3 years of related professional experience. Professional experience in technical projects, program planning, or project/program management.Minimum of three years of experience in Systems Engineering requirements development OR three years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical engineering design implementationStrong understanding of system requirements and systems engineering lifecycleExperience with roadmap development on agile development programsPrior Northrop Grumman CAM training and strong desire to learn CAM-specific responsibilitiesExperience relaying complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in a clear and concise manner to leadershipExperience with proposal development including authoring/reviewing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and technical evaluation of subcontractor inputsExperience in risk development and management including mitigation planning and IMS integrationEffective communication skills with the ability to provide verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasivelyWillingness/desire to develop and learn to lead through program managementStrong communication and briefing skills for leadership and customer audiencesActive Secret clearance required at time of applicationPreferred Qualifications:Direct experience with Ground Support Systems product on GWS (LSS/LSS2/NGLE HW)Direct experience with GMD systemExperience as Product Owner of an agile scrum teamActive Northrop Grumman CAM certificationOwnership and solution-based mentalityProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationPrimary Level Salary Range: $127,000.00 - $190,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
