Addiction Psychiatrist / Addiction Medicine Physician – Mount Sinai West The Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is recruiting a full‑time Addiction Psychiatrist or Addiction Medicine Physician to serve in a hybrid role providing clinical supervision to addiction psychiatry and addiction medicine fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position is located on the ninth floor of Mount Sinai West Hospital in Midtown Manhattan and is staffed by an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, mental health clinicians, nurses and trainees. Responsibilities Provide clinical care and supervision to a small census of inpatients admitted to the Inpatient Addiction Unit, working with psychiatry residents and fellowship fellows. Supervise addiction medicine fellows in the outpatient addiction continuity clinic and provide direct patient care in the clinic, including full‑spectrum addiction pharmacotherapy such as injectable buprenorphine products. Provide clinical teaching of medical students, residents and fellows in addiction psychiatry and addiction medicine as part of an academic faculty appointment. Collaborate with colleagues as an integral part of the health system, contributing to the education, research, and clinical programs of Icahn School of Medicine. Qualifications MD/DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of an ACGME‑accredited fellowship in addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine. ABMS or AOA Board Certified or Board Eligible in addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine within three years of fellowship graduation. Ability to obtain a full and unrestricted New York State medical license. Ability to obtain a full and unrestricted DEA license. Compensation range from 240 K to 275 K annually (not including bonuses, incentive compensation or benefits).
