Description

American Traveler is seeking a Float Pool RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring TX or compact RN license, prior travel experience, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool role covering Progressive Care, Medical Surgical Units, and admission holding area
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Required to work every other weekend
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care
• Experience with cardiac and respiratory monitoring, including telemetry interpretation and oxygen administration
• Experience with wound care, pacemaker management, and post cardiac cath care preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across multiple units including PCU, telemetry, and medical-surgical floors
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results
• Must reside outside a 110-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Travel experience highly preferred
• RTO must be submitted with candidate consideration
