RN Med Surg/Oncology (Chemo Certified)

• Specialty: Med Surg / Oncology RN
• Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Start: ASAP
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted with strong Med Surg experience

Requirements:

• 1+ year recent Med Surg experience
• Oncology/Chemotherapy experience required if working chemo patients
• ONS Chemo Provider Card required
• BLS
• NIHSS

Unit Details:

• 31-bed Surgical/Oncology unit
• Patient Ratio:
  • 1:5

Support:

• CNA ratio 1:8
• Unit Secretary (days)
• Telemetry technicians
• Hospitalists & RT available 24/7

Charting:

• Meditech
• Pyxis
• Baxter IV pumps

Floating:

• Med Surg
• Surgical
• Oncology
• ED Holding (within Med Surg patient assignments)

Schedule:

• Every other weekend
• 1–2 holidays
• Optional overtime

Orientation:

• 1 day hospital/Meditech orientation
• 1 twelve-hour unit orientation
