Ultrasound Technologist Cape May Court House, NJ 08210; Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234; Galloway, NJ 08205; Atlantic City, NJ; Somers Point, NJ 08244 Overview Salary Range $39.50 - $53.75 Hourly Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level Certification Program Category Health Care Description Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Ultrasound Technologist to join the team in the Cape May Court House and Somers Point region of offices. Scanning experience in General, Vascular, and Breast is required for this position. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for but not limited to: Performs ultrasonographic examinations in accordance with established policy. Ensures a proper explanation of the procedure has been given and understood by the patient, and, if required, appropriate consent forms have been signed. Assists patients on and off tables, using appropriate lift assist devices as warranted. Completes the patient's record of documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Completes aseptic technique training and maintains an aseptic standard of care for associated examinations. Ensures that ultrasonic imaging equipment is in operational condition, per established Quality Control procedures. Notifies the Chief Technologist when equipment requires servicing or repair. Provides input into the process of determining the expansion, growth, development and introduction of new ultrasonography services, equipment and imaging techniques. Performs all other duties as required and assigned. This full time, 40 hour per week position will provide coverage in the AMI offices in Cape May Court House and Somers Point. Coverage will be scheduled in Egg Harbor Township, Galloway, Local 54/Atlantic City as needed. The work schedule includes primarily day shift with evenings, and rotating Saturdays. Sundays are scheduled as needed for PTO coverage. Potential work schedules include five (5) eight (8) hour shifts, with an evening shift of 11:30am-8pm. Additionally, a four (4) day work week includes two (2) 11.5 hour shifts and two (2) 8.5 hour shifts. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs. Qualifications Candidates must be ARDMS registered with professional work experience as an Ultrasound Technologist. Experience in General, Vascular, and Breast is strongly preferred. An American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is required prior to the start of employment. Intermediate computer skills, including RIS systems, are required. Candidates must have a demonstrated knowledge of Ultrasound operations and diagnostic imaging equipment. Technologists must be able to work independently and confidently, with minimal supervision. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with patients and other team members, is required for success in this role. A demonstrated commitment to a positive patient experience is required.
