Job Summary The position is an Internal Auditor with a focus on SOX testing and operational accounting within a global manufacturing company headquartered in Tampa, FL. The role is based in the office five days per week, with 20% travel (approximately seven times per year). This is a rotational program that may lead to other areas of the company and offers upward mobility. Key Responsibilities Understand and apply the company’s internal controls and accounting policies, GAAP and GAAS. Identify risk and assess the effectiveness of control activities, including performance of SOX testing of the design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. Create organized stand‑alone workpapers to support audit testing and report findings. Review workpapers and report drafts to ensure that all significant accounting, auditing, and reporting issues have been identified and communicated. Evaluate and improve the audit process by continually challenging and improving audit procedures. Utilize exposure gained from assignments to build knowledge of the company’s business for future opportunities outside of Internal Audit. Contribute to ongoing risk assessment. Qualifications BS in Accounting or related field required. Achievement of or progress towards professional certification, CPA or CIA preferred; CISA and CFE valued. 2+ years of experience, preferably straight public accounting or a public / private mix. Experience in a large manufacturing entity’s internal audit is also acceptable. Experience with SOX, ITGC audits, data analytics, and Power BI will be considered a differential.
