Location: Manhattan, NY

Duration: 8 Weeks (Possibility of Extension)

Shift: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Varied Shifts)
Compensation

Local Rate: $52 - $62/hour (based on experience)
Travel Rate: $68 - $76/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiologic equipment
Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns to reduce anxiety
Adjust imaging equipment settings to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff
Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures performed
Ensure proper functioning of imaging equipment and report any malfunctions
Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and ensure equipment readiness
Adhere to infection control policies and safety regulations
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities
Stay updated with continuing education and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT)
ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Skills

Competency in performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently
Dependability and commitment to patient safety
