Join us and help solve meaningful, complex challenges.Position Overview: The statistician works within our quality department to apply statistical methods to real-world manufacturing and quality assurance.Your day to day as a statistician: Perform statistical evaluations of quality assurance data using exploratory data analysis, regression, mixed models' analysis, and statistical process control techniques within a manufacturing environment. Perform and evaluate statistical analysis to comply with contract requirements. Document statistical justifications for requirement acceptance and/or violations to support technical acceptance documents and manufacturing component release activities. Qualify measurement and inspection systems using statistical evaluations including gage R&R studies and process capability studies. Develop programs in the SAS language which will allow users to perform the required statistical analyses on the product. Assists other groups in the facility with problem solving investigations, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost reduction assessments. Performs other duties as assignedBasic qualifications: Bachelor's degree in statistics (by December 2027) is required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented and clear decision-making skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to select the appropriate statistical analysis to fit the problem and produce relevant results. Effectively manage time in an environment that demands multi-tasking. Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel. Must be a U.S. citizen.
