These experienced professionals provide administrative, technical, and professional support to the U.S. Geological Survey U.S. Geological Survey through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an at-will relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. Telework is available, Enrollee must be willing to work on EST time zone to support the office. May either work in the office or remote. Qualifications Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in the field or in a related area OR PhD Degree in Biological, Natural Resource, and Environmental Sciences Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Duties Responsible for facilitating collaboration and engagement with partners to support the co production of science agendas, strategic plans, and priority setting materials; develop and lead evaluation protocols to ensure efficient and effective center operations and that work products are meeting EOs and SOs; lead AI and machine learning integration. Coordinate and manage multiple research projects and science delivery activities40% Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partners and project teams30% Prepare project documentation and communicate progress to supervisors and leadership20% Support translation and dissemination of scientific findings to managers and stakeholders10% Other Overnight travel: Potential for occasional travel for meetings Air travel anticipated: If needed, 1-2 times per year Physical requirements: Work is primarily sedentary and performed in an office or remote setting, requiring the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer, and participate in virtual or in-person meetings.
