Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH is actively searching for a direct hire Accounts Receiveable Specialist with exposure to the commercial real estate industry! This is a newly created position and will join a solid team of accounting professionals located near Buckhead.

Position Overview


The AR Specialist is responsible for the timely, accurate recording and application of tenant cash receipts, and posted checks and electronic receipts to the correct tenant account and billing item (rent, CAM, recoveries, and other charges) for an assigned portfolio of properties, working closely with Property Operations and Property


Accounting.


Essential Functions - Accounts Receivable (core responsibility)

• Receive tenant checks and electronic receipts.
• Prepare and deposit checks (write-up and bank deposit, or remote deposit) for assigned property portfolio.
• Record checks and electronic receipts against tenant accounts, allocating to rent, CAM, recoveries, and other items.
• Investigate and resolve the allocation of receipts where the tenant and/or the nature of the receipt is unclear, working with the property management team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required.
• 2+ years of accounts receivable in commercial real estate experience required.
• Experience with multi-tenant retail a plus.
• Experience with a property accounting/management software (e.g., MRI, Yardi) a plus.
• Comfortable managing a high volume of recurring, transactional work with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills - will work directly with property management teams to resolve unclear or misapplied cash receipts.
• Proficient use of Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background, employment reference .
• Ability to perform under pressure and deadlines.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
