Registered Nurse - ICU Boarders in PACU

Schedule

This position involves 3 × 12-hour shifts per week, with a night shift from 19:00 to 07:30. The unit operates Monday through Saturday, with no Sunday shifts.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for ICU boarders located in the PACU unit. While the expected patient population is trauma overflow, specific prior trauma training is not required. The RN may float to the Emergency Department (ED) for ICU holds or to other ICU/Stepdown units based on need and census.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate care required by assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician.
• Utilize the nursing process to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams for individualized care.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of practice and policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty area (preferred).
• Current PA Registered Nurse License (required).
• Basic Life Support certification (required).
