Join Our Team as a Weekend Host/Hostess at Starving Artist Cafe!
Are you looking for a part-time opportunity to work in a vibrant and creative environment? Starving Artist Cafe, located in Norfolk, VA, is searching for an enthusiastic Weekend Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our cozy and community-focused cafe. If you enjoy connecting with people and thrive in a fast-paced setting, we’d love to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing: As our Weekend Host/Hostess, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and seating guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Managing reservations and waitlists efficiently.
- Assisting in maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth service flow.
- Providing guests with information about our menu and specials.
No prior experience? No problem! We’re more interested in your positive attitude and willingness to learn. Here's what will help you succeed in this role:
- A friendly, approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- A team-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to helping others.
- Availability to work weekends.
