New to district employees start at step A ($5,949.45). 1. st shift AM, Monday‑Friday, 6:00 AM‑2:30 PM
2. nd shift PM, Monday‑Thursday, 5:00 PM‑1:30 AM; Friday 3:00 PM‑11:30 PM

Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on department needs. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise custodial operations across assigned campus locations to ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and orderly. Develop work schedules, assign duties, monitor performance, and support professional development of custodial staff. Ensure compliance with district standards, safety regulations, and established procedures. Coordinate cleaning services, respond to facility needs, and collaborate with other Facilities and Operations teams to deliver efficient service. Assist in implementing preventative maintenance practices, manage supplies and equipment, and maintain accurate records and reports related to custodial operations. Promote continuous improvement, enforce quality control, and maintain strong communication with campus stakeholders. Prioritize multiple tasks, respond to changing operational needs, and foster a collaborative, customer‑service‑oriented team environment. Qualifications Basic blueprint reading skills. Knowledge of modern custodial methods, materials, chemicals, disinfectants, hand tools, and equipment. Proficiency with computers and basic software applications relevant to the specialty. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Understanding of air‑conditioning, lighting, heating, and plumbing systems. Principles of effective supervision and training. Knowledge of sanitation and safety measures, including handling of hazardous materials. Skills and Abilities Analyze situations and adopt effective courses of action. Communicate effectively, both orally and in‑writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Meet scheduled timelines and deadlines. Estimate and order required materials and supplies. Lift up to 65 pounds. Maintain accurate and current records. Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of a custodial staff. Train and supervise personnel. Understand and follow oral and written directions. Training and Experience Any combination of training and experience equivalent to: One year of full‑time supervisory experience at the level of Custodial Crew Leader; or Three years of full‑time experience as a Custodian combined with one year of full‑time supervisory experience in any job setting. License Valid California driver’s license. Foreign Degree Evaluation If having a foreign degree, coursework must be evaluated by a NACES or ACEI member association. Evaluation must be submitted with the application.
