Strategic Program Manager

We are seeking a Strategic Project Manager with experience in medical device industry in the greater Indianapolis, IN area. Prefer candidates local to the market, relocation is not offered. We improve the safety of patients, clinics, their staff and the environment by transforming the way infection prevention practices are understood and conducted and introducing innovative technologies that deliver improved standards of care. Nanosonics is a company that specializes in the development of innovative solutions for the automated reprocessing of reusable medical devices. Today, Nanosonics has a global presence with offices across Australia, Canada, the United States of America, Europe, the United Kingdom and Japan. Global HQ is located in Macquarie Park, Sydney, where all Research & Development, Manufacturing and Corporate functions reside. The US Corporate HQ is located in Indianapolis, IN. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with President, Transformation Officer and other leaders to support the development and execution of the Key Strategic Initiatives strategy. Own and manage the processes for successful delivery of key strategic programs and initiatives. Enable a culture for discussion of issues and collaboration in problem solving. Ensure the alignment of initiatives to strategies is clear for the organization. Help lead the Region change management process. Serve as the program leader for high-profile, business-critical projects/programs including, but not limited to, process improvements, and complex, enterprise-wide operational initiatives. Providing guidance, partnership and support to identified owners/champions of cross-functional to ensure projects are being managed with the desired framework, timelines and budgets. Assess and manage risks and issues, ensure all risks/issues are brought to resolution in a timely and mutually agreeable manner Collaborate closely with global and regional stakeholders across the global business to get work done. Technical Functions Embed an operating model and approach into Nanosonic’s culture including leading and managing key programs, facilitating development and tracking of relevant milestones and metrics, ensuring execution of program plans. Drive and execute complex project/programs with excellence through all stages of the project (Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing). Manage stakeholder and project communication (includes updates to leadership, stakeholder alignment on project scope and milestones, and escalation of issues and risks). Utilize project management tools to drive project execution consistency and delivery of project deliverables. Delivers updates on project status at senior-level reviews. Communicates decisions, direction, issues from governance meetings. Must have the ability to communicate effectively at the C-Suite Level Required Experience Successful track record of project management leading cross-functional teams Experience leading major business projects Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems (D365, Salesforce, or equivalent); ability to navigate technology-dependent workflows without deep technical expertise Experience navigating environments where decision rights are shared, unclear, or contested; proven ability to surface decisions and drive alignment without overstepping authority Demonstrated ability to build trust with operational teams under sustained organizational change; earns credibility through follow-through, not authority Ability to lead in the face of ambiguity Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and drive change Required Education Years of experience: 5-10 years of successfully managing high-profile business projects in the regulated environment with a preference toward the medical device industry. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Certification(s) / License(s): Project Management Certification or equivalent required Skills Ownership Mindset: Take full responsibility for the quality and efficiency of your work. A Clear Communicator: You proactively maintain a smooth, professional flow of information across the Company and ensure issues are handled and escalated effectively. Strategic and Commercial Orientation: Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and management of strategic initiatives while partnering with the North America President, Transformation Officer, and other leaders by identifying, challenging and analyzing scenarios. Able to think long-term and articulate to President/ North America Leadership Team (NALT) how key programs can advance efficiently to full completion. Collaboration, Partnering and Influencing: A team player with the ability to influence, collaborate, partner effectively with the business and win the trust and respect of internal and external stakeholders. Works alongside teams rather than above them. Has a winning and empathetic personal approach that creates followership and lifts performance of peers through intellect, vision, ideas and compelling articulation. Experience in strategically and tactically negotiating relationships, with the courage to speak up and challenge ideas in a positive and encouraging way.
