Make an impact in students’ lives as a dedicated Dyslexia Specialist, contributing your expertise to help a homebound learner thrive through targeted virtual instruction. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to deliver high-quality, individualized educational support to a student needing intensive reading intervention.
You’ll provide virtual sessions four times a week, each lasting 45 minutes, utilizing the MTA (Multisensory Teaching Approach) program. Flexible scheduling is available, with instruction times during late mornings and select afternoons.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching credential required
- Background as a Special Education Teacher
- Extensive experience providing dyslexia-specific instruction
- MTA program training and proven ability to deliver multisensory reading instruction
- Strong communication skills for virtual learning environments
- A commitment to student growth, development, and engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual dyslexia intervention sessions for a homebound student, focusing on individualized education objectives
- Implement the MTA curriculum with fidelity, adapting lessons to meet the student's unique needs
- Track and report progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
- Collaborate with families and support staff to optimize the learning experience
- Maintain thorough session documentation and adhere to educational best practices
