Principal Associate - Accounting, Agile PodWe are seeking a highly motivated accountant to join the Controllers Group as a Principal Accounting Associate with a focus on agile project execution. You will be a self-starter responsible for managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. The Controllers Group supports the financial implementation of new products, services, and systems with countless opportunities for knowledge growth.In this role you will:Serve as the main point of contact and own various projects in pipeline from the planning phase through delivery and stabilizationLead and assist in the development, testing and implementation of project requirementsCollaborate with several teams across the organization on the Enterprise Wide Initiative payments initiatives and Branded Card programsFacilitate the consistent use of the Agile methodology for delivering projectsPresent results, findings, risks and recommendations to leadership and stakeholdersContribute to Process Improvement through project development and knowledge sharing with a well governed mindsetParticipate in key corporate projects such as technology and data transformation, process improvement, and business initiativesCollaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and stay connected on process or product changesDemonstrate ability to maintain effectiveness in constantly changing environmentAbility to apply integrative thinking in complex situations, identify issues and propose solutionsDemonstrate analytical skills and ability to integrate information from different sources to solve problems and improve processesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 3 years of experience in accounting OR audit OR finance OR a combinationPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in AccountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA) license4+ years of experience driving projects in AccountingAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.This role is hybrid meaning associates will spend 3 days per week in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Associate, AccountingRichmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, AccountingWilmington, DE: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, AccountingCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
