Controller

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $180,000 to $225,000 per year. Job Responsibilities Oversee accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and compliance activities. Lead month end and year end close processes while preparing financial statements, analyses, and management reports. Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and risk management procedures to support operational effectiveness. Manage audit preparation, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements. Provide leadership to the accounting team through mentoring, performance management, and process improvement initiatives. Requirements A Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive accounting, auditing, or financial management experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements. Previous experience with accounting systems, financial software, cash management, and budgeting processes. Ability to analyze complex financial information and communicate insights to executive leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications Advanced degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline. Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to guide and motivate accounting professionals. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving abilities with strong attention to detail. Prior experience with investment management, financing arrangements, risk mitigation, and strategic financial planning.
