CNC Machinist Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience with mills and lathes
• Proven CNC machine setup and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
• Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials
• Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers
• Solid math skills, including geometry and trigonometry
• High School Diploma or GED (CAD/CAM experience is a plus)

CNC Machinist Job Duties

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for precision manufacturing
• Prepare tooling, fixtures, materials, and machine offsets for production
• Verify and adjust CNC programs to ensure accurate, efficient machining
• Monitor machining operations and make real-time process adjustments
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure quality
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with programming and production teams
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
