Bus Driver
The school bus driver will transport children for school purposes in a safe and efficient manner. The performance responsibilities include obeying all traffic laws, transporting only authorized students, complying with safety regulations, ensuring bus cleanliness, maintaining discipline, informing students about safety requirements, reporting accidents, and attending in-service meetings. A high school diploma or equivalency is preferred, and a minimum age of 21 is required. Necessary licenses include an Arizona School Bus Driver Certificate with passenger endorsement, a Class B CDL Arizona Driver's License, and a Department of Transportation physical. The working environment includes exposure to vehicular traffic, bus fumes and odors, bus noise, and vibration. The employment term is a nine-month year with a Classified Hourly Salary Schedule and employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.
