Purchasing Specialist IPay Range: $20/hr to $25/hrLocation: North Chicago, ILWork Type: OnsiteContract Duration: 04 MonthsJob Summary:We are hiring a Purchasing Specialist I to support purchasing, inventory, and Maintenance Repair Operations activities within a large enterprise environment. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in purchasing coordination, inventory administration, and data management. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage purchase requests, invoice resolution, and order tracking while working closely with internal customers and vendors. This is a fully onsite opportunity with a collaborative team environment.Key Responsibilities:Review and process maintenance stock standardization requests.Create purchase requisitions and support purchase order fulfillment.Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records through detailed data entry.Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Monitor open purchase orders and follow through until completion.Resolve invoice discrepancies and support accounts payable inquiries.Analyze purchasing and inventory data to improve operational efficiency.Support inventory accuracy through corrective actions and reporting.Assist with compliance documentation and audit preparation.Participate in cross training activities to provide operational support across the team.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum three years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations, finance, or data entry.Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.Experience using ERP systems.Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS platforms.Experience using Smartsheet.Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with ERP system S4HANA.Experience with Cognos reporting.Experience with cVend.Experience supporting Maintenance Repair Operations activities.Project coordination or data analytics experience.Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, paid holidays annually - AS Applicable.
