Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented  Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity in  Leominster, MA 01453 . The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, ensuring accurate patient identification, maintaining specimen integrity, and delivering exceptional patient care in a professional healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures.
• Verify patient identity and accurately label specimens.
• Prepare, process, and transport laboratory specimens.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
• Accurately document patient information and specimen collection details.
• Provide excellent customer service and patient care.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy Training Program preferred.
• Current Phlebotomy Certification.
• Minimum 2 year of recent phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital, laboratory, or outpatient clinic experience.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR).
• Knowledge of laboratory specimen handling and processing procedures.
