Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights 3x12.0

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This position emphasizes patient and employee safety and focuses on delivering superior quality in all aspects of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming an individualized care plan.
• Identify teaching needs and goals, collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, providing direct care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested and pursue professional development and growth.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12.0 hours.
