Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a real difference for students by supporting communication and language development as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled SLP passionate about working with preschool and high school students. You’ll split your time between two sites, providing direct support and collaborating with dedicated educators.
Qualifications:
- Current Louisiana SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- School-based SLP experience strongly desired
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Willingness to travel between assigned sites (preschool location to be determined, and Ringgold High School)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload of preschoolers and high school students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt services to promote student success in both academic and social contexts
This contract runs from early August through May, with around 30 hours of work each week. Enjoy meaningful connections while building your expertise across diverse age groups. The position is onsite, and comfort with local travel is necessary.
