Substitute Bus Driver

Substitute Bus Driver positions available to work on-call, as needed. Temporary assignments may also be available depending on need. Under general supervision of Lead Bus Driver. Duties include but are not limited to: Transporting students using designated bus routes. Knowledge of the provisions of the California Vehicle Code applicable to operations of vehicles in transporting students, safe driving practices, and first-aid practices required.

Requirements / Qualifications

PLEASE SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Classified Employee Application (Red Apply Button) Resume Letters of Recommendation (Two (2) Recent Letters of Recommendation within 2 years) CPR/First Aid Certification Driver's License Copy (Valid CA Driver's License with School Bus Driver Authorization) Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate ("Medical Card") FMCSA Clearinghouse Registration Notice to Applicants: This position is considered a safety sensitive position by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Effective January 6, 2020, any applicant who wishes to be considered for this position must be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Regulations require San Benito County Office of Education to perform a full query of any individual prior to that person being hired into a safety sensitive position. Regulations also require applicants to provide consent for the full query. Selected applicants will need to provide proof of TB Clearance and undergo a DOJ fingerprint background check prior to hire.
