We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Product Developer specializing in dirt bike hard parts, specifically levers and braking systems . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-performance aftermarket components that enhance durability, functionality, and rider experience. This role requires a deep understanding of motocross and off-road riding, as well as expertise in materials, manufacturing processes, and product testing. Key Responsibilities: Product Design & Development:
- Design and develop high-performance brake and clutch levers, calipers, rotors, and other braking components for dirt bikes.
- Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and technical drawings.
- Optimize ergonomics, durability, and performance for various riding conditions.
- Work closely with manufacturers and machine shops to produce prototypes.
- Conduct field testing with riders to ensure durability, feel, and performance meet industry standards.
- Analyze test data and make necessary modifications to improve product quality.
- Identify the best materials (e.g., aluminum, titanium, carbon fiber) for strength and weight optimization.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to refine CNC machining, forging, casting, and anodizing processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, rider preferences, and competitive products.
- Work with marketing and sales teams to position products effectively in the market.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and factory partners to bring concepts to production.
- Coordinate with purchasing and supply chain teams to ensure cost-effective production and on-time delivery.
- Manage project timelines and budgets to align with company goals.
- 3+ years of experience in product development, preferably in powersports or automotive industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and anodizing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Passion for motocross and off-road riding.
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and rapid prototyping.
- Hands-on experience with dirt bikes, including riding and mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards for braking systems.
