Assistant Professor-Computer Science Job No: 497034 Full Time/Part Time: Full-time Location: South Orange, New Jersey Categories: Faculty The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Seton Hall University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in Computer Science. The position will start in August 2026. Seton Hall University is located in South Orange, New Jersey, 14 miles from New York City. Duties and Responsibilities Priority will be given to applicants with research in areas of Computer Engineering, Robotics, or Cybersecurity. Depending on the applicant's academic background, teaching responsibilities will include courses in Computer Science at all undergraduate levels and/or undergraduate/graduate courses in Cybersecurity or Data Science, including service courses. In addition, supervision of student research and maintaining a computer engineering lab is expected. Required Qualifications A PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related area is required. The successful applicant will have a strong interest in teaching, research, and providing student research experiences. The candidate's Ph.D. must be completed by the start of employment. Desired Qualifications Teaching experience, a publication record, and successful grant funding are desirable.
