Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day/Night rotation Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Neuro ICU setting License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred, CCRN, SCRN, or CNRN preferred Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in a critical care setting - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend - Holiday requirement: Every other holiday - Ability to float to Neuro IMC unit - Patient ratios: 1:2 (may flex up or down based on acuity) - Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Epic - Uniform: Navy blue pants and solid navy blue or solid white tops Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the Neuro ICU. This unit has 18 beds, with a focus on high-acuity patients. The schedule entails a rotation of 12-hour shifts including days and nights. Nurses will be expected to maintain compliance with weekend and holiday requirements. Nurses will be the first to float to the Neuro IMC unit as needed. Candidates must possess current certifications including BLS and ACLS, and NIHSS. Preferred certifications include CCRN, SCRN, or CNRN. Experience in a similar high-acuity environment is essential for this role. Familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically Epic, is required.
