About the Role Director of Compensation will lead DraftKings’ global compensation strategy, working closely with the VP of Total Rewards. The role involves designing, implementing, and administering compensation policies, programs, and processes to support fair and equitable pay for all employees. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the VP of Total Rewards to strategize, design, and deliver new and innovative compensation plans. Lead compensation review process, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive consistency in compensation planning, program administration, and performance cycles. Analyze market data and provide job profile insights for the creation of compensation bands for new and existing roles. Oversee job architecture to ensure appropriate alignment based on role types. Coordinate production of data for CD&A, including the creation of compensation tables. Build and maintain impactful relationships with key stakeholders to communicate compensation strategies effectively. Qualifications 8+ years of deep compensation experience; publicly traded company experience preferred. Technical knowledge of compensation design and a proven track record of delivering creative and scalable compensation programs. Experience building and running programs such as merit and annual equity awards, and using Radford data for benchmarking. Deep understanding of all forms of standard equity offerings. Experience with the Workday compensation planning tool. Ability to translate business goals into analytics/data‑based solutions. Outstanding interpersonal, problem‑solving, leadership, and project management skills. Experience with M&A and international compensation programs. Expertise in developing compensation‑related reporting and advanced skills in building and manipulating spreadsheets (Google Sheets and/or MS Excel). Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially at a company‑wide level. Benefits US base salary range: $196,800.00 – $246,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. DraftKings is a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) company headquartered in Boston. Positions are available in multiple locations, with Florida, California, New York, and North Carolina/Georgia potentially requiring a gaming license.
