Travel Stepdown RN Facility in Kalispell, Montana Responsibilities Provides care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units. Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities. Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care. Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations. Maintains awareness of the comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients. Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisors or physicians of cardiac status and responses to interventions. Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies. Documents nursing history and physical assessments for assigned telemetry patients. Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients. Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN. Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Physical Abilities Remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment weighing 50‑100 lbs. Perform fine manipulation, push, pull, and bend when assisting with procedures. Technical / Motor Skills Grasp and manipulate equipment during procedures and departmental tasks. Mental Requirements Cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Work under close supervision occasionally, and also independently without assistance from other personnel. Sensory Requirements Possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
